Job summary

Tsebo Solutions Group in Durban is seeking a Facilities/Operations Manager to oversee contractor and service provider performance, planning maintenance, and managing projects to ensure quality, cost, and timelines.

The role requires strong leadership, safety compliance, and financial control; you will supervise teams, liaise with clients, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 (Matric) is mandatory.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering or related field is preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in facilities management, engineering, property management, or project management.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor contractor performance against agreed SLAs.
  • Maintain accurate contractor documentation and compliance records.
  • Build and maintain effective service provider relationships.
  • Address contractor performance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure all contractors comply with site safety requirements.
  • Assist in maintenance planning and scheduling activities.
  • Ensure adequate resources are available to meet operational demands.
  • Monitor maintenance completion against agreed targets.
  • Approve overtime where operationally justified.
  • Ensure productivity standards align with SLA requirements.
  • Assist with project planning and implementation.
  • Coordinate project resources and contractors.
  • Maintain communication with stakeholders and clients.
  • Track project progress and elevate risks where required.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to quality, cost, and timeline expectations.

Qualifications
  • Grade 12 (Matric)

Experience
  • 2 to 5 years' experience in Facilities Management, Engineering, Property Management, or Project Management
  • Experience managing technical and non-technical teams
  • Demonstrated knowledge of facilities maintenance operations
  • Strong understanding of SHEQ principles and compliance requirements
  • Working knowledge of Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Understanding of Labour Relations Act (LRA) and Industrial Relations (IR) processes
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
