Job summary

Heineken invites applications for a Maintenance Planner based at the Adam Tas Manufacturing plant within our Packaging Department. The role focuses on planning, scheduling and coordinating maintenance tasks to keep assets reliable.

Key responsibilities include maintaining SAP PM plans, compiling shutdown plans and managing contractors. The candidate should have an NQF4 technical qualification, 3 years in manufacturing, 2 years in asset management and SAP PM experience.

Qualifications

• NQF 4 technical qualification with a completed mechanical or electrical trade test.
• 3 years’ experience in engineering/manufacturing environment.
• 2 years’ experience in physical asset management systems.
• Experience with SAP PM is required.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain PMPM schedules, master data and task lists on SAP.
• Plan scope of tasks, duration, spares/equipment, resources for maintenance and projects.
• Compile and distribute annual shutdown plans and chair planning meetings.
• Monitor adherence to the annual shutdown plan and evaluate completed tasks.
• Control and plan outstanding tasks (work arising books, PMPM scheduling, projects).
• Provide technical support to maintenance foreman.
• Ensure planned maintenance keeps equipment reliable and in good condition.
• Deal with contractors and suppliers for on-site repairs and projects.
• Manage employees to ensure delivery of requirements.

Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position to be based at the Adam Tas Manufacturing plant within our Packaging Department.

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

• Maintain PMPM schedules, master data and task lists on SAP;
• Plan the following: scope of tasks, duration of tasks, spares / equipment required and availability, spares availability, internal and external resources, etc. for all routine maintenance and project tasks;
• Compile and distribute annual shutdown plans and chair the planning meetings;
• Monitor adherence to the annual shutdown plan and evaluate the completed tasks;
• Control and plan outstanding tasks (work arising books, PMPM scheduling, projects, etc.);
• Provide technical support to maintenance foreman;
• Ensure that planned maintenance tasks keep equipment reliable and in good condition;
• Deal with contractors and suppliers regarding on-site repairs and projects to be completed.
• Manage employees to ensure the successful delivery of requirements

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

• NQF 4 level technical qualification with a completed mechanical/electrical related trade test certificate
• 3 years’ experience in Engineering / Manufacturing environment
• 2 years’ experience in physical asset management systems
• Maintenance Planning qualification will be advantageous
• Experience in SAP PM systems
• Work experience in Maintenance Planning;
• Technical work experience in a bottling packaging environment will be advantageous;
• Ability to work under pressure and able to meet deadlines;
• Good communication skills with internal and external customers and suppliers;
• Computer literate in MS Office, MS Projects and SAP PM and MM;
• Innovative, analytical and proactive;
• Good organisation & administration skills
• Strong planning and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to organise resources and effectively delegate tasks to the maintenance team.
