Hospitality and Outdoor in North West is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee day‑to‑day upkeep of lodge facilities, grounds, equipment and infrastructure. You will lead the maintenance team, manage contractors, and ensure health and safety compliance, preventative maintenance, and service reliability across the estate.

The role includes housing and meals, with a monthly salary of R25 000 (probation period applies) and opportunities to contribute to service excellence in a luxury game lodge

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Direct maintenance staff, stock, tools and contractors; ensure safety compliance.

Introduction – Maintenance Manager, Lodge Facilities

Hospitality and Outdoor is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Manager for a prestigious luxury lodge in North West. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled Manager with strong leadership ability and hands‑on maintenance experience to oversee the day‑to‑day operation and upkeep of lodge facilities, grounds, equipment and infrastructure.

The successful Maintenance Manager will lead the maintenance team and ensure that all Lodge facilities are maintained to a high standard. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, electrical systems, plumbing, air‑conditioning, refrigeration, pools, solar equipment, water systems, buildings, decking, fencing and general grounds maintenance.

This role requires a practical all‑rounder who is confident managing staff, stock, tools and contractors while maintaining strict health and safety standards. The Manager will also be responsible for firefighting equipment, fire plans and drills, security support, vehicle maintenance coordination and emergency maintenance after hours when required.

Job Requirements – Maintenance Manager, Lodge Facilities

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Maintenance Manager – Essential.
• Previous Lodge experience preferred.
• Trade qualification highly advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of facilities, machinery and equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration and/or single/three‑phase electrical systems.
• Excellent all‑round maintenance skills, including plumbing, building and general repairs.
• Strong leadership, organisational, administrative and planning abilities.
• Experience with budgeting, reporting and stock control.
• Excellent attention to detail, initiative and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s licence – Essential; PrDP preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of health and safety and preventative maintenance procedures.

Package – Maintenance Manager, Lodge Facilities

• R20,000–R25,000 per month, depending on benefits.
• Single accommodation.
• Medical Aid contribution of R1,478.35 per month after successful completion of the 3-month probationary period.
