Job summary

Wild Dreams Hospitality in the bush seeks a practical, self-driven lodge operations manager with a strong reserve maintenance background. The role is hands-on, with couples welcome; one partner handles maintenance and operations, the other lodge administration.

You will oversee lodge operations, maintenance of fencing, roads, buildings, vehicles, and essential services, plan preventative schedules, supervise staff, and ensure guest units and communal areas are well cared for in a remote

Qualifications

• Proven experience in game reserve/lodge environment.
• Strong knowledge of fence maintenance, including elephant-proof fencing.
• Experience maintaining roads, buildings, infrastructure and vehicles.
• Experience in general lodge operations.
• Ability to lead and direct a team.
• Comfortable driving and maintaining 4x4 vehicles in a remote bush environment.
• Reliable, resourceful and able to work independently.
• Calm, practical problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lodge operations and liaise with the reservations team to support smooth daily operations.
• Oversee the upkeep and inspection of all reserve and camp fencing.
• Maintain reserve roads, tracks and drainage.
• Manage the maintenance of guest units, communal areas and general infrastructure.
• Service and maintain the vehicle fleet and machinery.
• Keep essential services, including water and power, running smoothly.
• Plan and manage routine and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Supervise and direct maintenance staff.
