Placements24 is seeking a proactive Maintenance Electrical Engineer for our Klerksdorp, North West facility. You will oversee reliability and performance of electrical systems, focusing on preventative maintenance, rapid troubleshooting, and continuous improvement to minimize downtime.

You will work with maintenance and production teams to optimize electrical infrastructure, enhance plant efficiency, and safety. The role requires industrial electrical experience and relevant degree.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial setting.
National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience with motors, PLCs, drives and control panels.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for electrical equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults safely and efficiently.
Manage spare parts inventory and procurement of electrical components.
Analyze equipment performance data to identify improvements and reduce failures.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies for electrical work.
Lead or assist in installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Electrical Engineer to oversee the reliability and performance of electrical systems and equipment at their facility in Klerksdorp , North West . This role focuses on ensuring minimal downtime through effective preventative maintenance strategies, rapid troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will be key to maintaining the operational integrity of our client's industrial processes, working closely with maintenance teams and production staff to optimize electrical infrastructure and enhance overall plant efficiency and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for all electrical equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults and breakdowns efficiently and safely.
Manage spare parts inventory and oversee the procurement of electrical components.
Analyze equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement and reduce failure rates.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies regarding electrical work.
Lead or assist in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment.

Requirements

National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, PLCs, drives, and control panels.
Experience with troubleshooting electrical systems and interpreting electrical schematics.
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is an advantage.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
