About the Role

Our client, a significant industrial manufacturing facility located in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga , is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to manage and optimize its industrial maintenance operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the continuous and safe operation of all electrical systems and machinery within the plant. You will be responsible for developing and implementing preventive and corrective maintenance strategies, troubleshooting electrical faults, and overseeing electrical upgrades. The ideal candidate will have a strong hands-on background in industrial electrical systems, a deep understanding of maintenance best practices, and a commitment to safety. This position requires a dedicated professional to be present on-site in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga to address operational needs promptly.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules for all plant electrical equipment, including motors, generators, control panels, and power distribution systems.
• Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns, diagnose faults, and implement effective repairs.
• Oversee electrical installation and modification projects, ensuring adherence to safety standards and design specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize electrical system performance.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in electrical maintenance processes and equipment reliability.
• Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance technicians.

Requirements
