Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead community development and social impact initiatives in Mahikeng, North West. You will manage projects from conception to completion, engage stakeholders, allocate resources, and track KPIs to demonstrate outcomes.

The role involves collaboration with community leaders, NGOs, government agencies, and beneficiaries to drive sustainable development and improve local livelihoods, education, and well-being.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in project management in community development or NGO settings.
• Proven stakeholder engagement experience with diverse community groups.
• Strong knowledge of development principles and methodologies.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans for community development initiatives, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Coordinate project activities with local stakeholders, community groups, and partner organizations.
• Ensure effective engagement with community members to understand needs and facilitate participation.
• Monitor project progress, track KPIs related to social impact, and report on outcomes.
• Manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of funds and timely financial reporting.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, including community sensitivities and operational challenges.
• Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
• Ensure adherence to ethical guidelines and best practices in community development work.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local leadership and relevant authorities in Mahikeng .
• Contribute to the development of new project proposals and funding applications.
