Utopia invites applications for a highly organized General Manager to oversee a luxury private property in Cape Town. You will manage maintenance, seasonal staff, and vendor contracts, ensuring top-tier guest experiences and flawless presentation throughout the year.

You will collaborate with owners and trusted service providers to manage budgets, compliance, and safety, delivering meticulous, discreet service across all property operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in general management within luxury hospitality or private residences (3+ years).
• Strong budgeting and financial oversight skills.
• Experience coordinating multi-vendor contracts and seasonal workflows.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and service activities to keep the property pristine year-round.
• Develop and manage seasonal operational plans for guest use and off-season care.
• Prepare and control annual budgets, track expenses, and ensure service quality.
• Lead external vendors and seasonal staff to maintain high standards.
• Support guest stays by ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and urgent needs are addressed.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, permits, and safety requirements.
• Provide regular reporting to ownership and propose efficiency improvements.
