Job summary

Utopia is seeking a highly organized General Manager to oversee a luxury private property in Cape Town. In this role, you will ensure the property is maintained to impeccable standards, coordinating all vendors and delivering a seamless guest experience.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in luxury hospitality operations, excellent budgeting skills, and a strong service orientation. This on-site position requires local knowledge, ensuring the highest quality of service at the residence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a General Manager or in senior operations roles.
• Ability to manage multi-vendor contracts and seasonal workflows.
• Familiarity with local compliance requirements in South Africa.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate maintenance and service activities.
• Manage seasonal operational plans for guest use.
• Develop and control the annual budget and expenses.
• Lead and supervise external vendors and seasonal staff.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and permits.

Skills

Proven experience in luxury hospitality
