Job summary

Pepperclub Hotel is hiring a Waiter/Waitress to deliver personalised guest service across our restaurants, bar, and events in Cape Town. You will greet guests, take accurate orders, and communicate details to kitchen and bar, while upselling menu items and guiding guests on dining options and local attractions.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 2 years in luxury hospitality, experience with POS systems, and a warm, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Excellent English communication (written and verbal) is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a guest-focused approach.
• Minimum 2 years’ waitering or bartending experience in luxury settings.
• Experience with POS systems and basic stock/inventory control.
• Ability to stay composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and grooming per hotel standards.
• Flexible for shifts, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Knowledge of Cape Town and surrounding areas is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver superior, friendly, and personalised guest service at all times.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food, beverages, and menu offerings.
• Greet guests, take accurate orders, and communicate details to kitchen and bar.
• Assess guest preferences and make informed recommendations.
• Upsell and suggest additional menu items to enhance guest experience.
• Guide guests on dining options, activities, and Cape Town attractions.
• Prepare and maintain clean, well-set tables and service areas.
• Ensure checks, payments, and billing are handled accurately.
• Assist with stock control, requisitions, and inventory management as needed.
• Maintain compliance with health, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Participate in daily briefings for menu changes and reservations.
