Job summary

The President Hotel is seeking experienced Room Attendants for a 6-month fix term contract. The role requires a minimum of two years of housekeeping experience in a hotel environment and a strong eye for detail.

You will maintain guest room cleanliness to The President Hotel’s high standards, prepare rooms for arrivals, stayovers and departures, and work as part of a professional housekeeping team with adherence to procedures and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Matric Certificate (Grade 12).
• Minimum 2 years’ housekeeping experience within a hotel environment.
• Previous Room Attendant experience in a 4- or 5-star hotel is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of hotel guest room cleaning standards and procedures.
• Ability to clean and present rooms efficiently within required timeframes.
• Physically fit and able to perform the job’s physical requirements.
• South African ID.
• A fully updated CV with contactable references.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms according to The President Hotel’s housekeeping standards.
• Prepare rooms efficiently for arrivals, stayovers and departures.
• Ensure bedrooms, bathrooms, linen, amenities and surfaces meet cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Make beds and replace linen according to hotel procedures and standards.
• Sanitise bathrooms, bedrooms and surfaces thoroughly.
• Replenish guest amenities and supplies.
• Maintain a well-stocked and organised housekeeping trolley.
• Report maintenance issues and lost property as needed.
• Follow hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times.
• Work closely with housekeeping colleagues to support daily operations.
