Job summary

The President Hotel in Cape Town is seeking reliable Housekeeping Housemen for a 6 Month fixed-term contract. Previous hotel housekeeping experience is essential, with advantage for those from large, high-volume properties.

Role involves assisting Room Attendants and Supervisors, distributing linen and supplies, and keeping corridors and service areas clean across floors. The position requires physical fitness and the ability to work shifts, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous Houseman or Housekeeping experience within a hotel environment essential
• Experience in a large, high-volume 4- or 5-star hotel environment advantageous
• SA ID or valid work authorisation
• Able to lift and move linen and supplies, on multiple floors, with stamina

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily Housekeeping operations and support Room Attendants and Supervisors
• Distribute linen, towels and supplies to guest rooms and service areas
• Transport soiled linen to collection points and restock linen cupboards
• Ensure cleanliness and presentation of corridors, storerooms and service areas
• Follow safety and hygiene procedures and maintain equipment and trolleys
