Job summary

EDITION Hotels in Cape Town seeks a Security Officer to patrol all areas, monitor CCTV, manage access, and respond to incidents.

You will conduct hazard inspections, escort unauthorized persons, assist in emergencies, and uphold Marriott policies while ensuring guest safety. The role requires Matric, PSIRA Grade B, and excellent communication; hospitality security experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent is required.
• PSIRA registration with Grade B is essential.
• Clear criminal record is essential.
• 3–4 years in Security preferred, hospitality experience advantageous.
• Basic computer literacy and Microsoft Office knowledge expected.

Responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property by foot or vehicle and ensure guest rooms are secure.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems, respond to incidents, and document events.
• Escort unwelcome persons and assist guests during emergencies or disturbances.
• Prepare incident reports; maintain confidentiality of security information.
• Support training and coaching of team members and uphold company policies.
