Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty long-haul trucks in a safe and compliant manner, adhering to all national road regulations.
• Plan and execute long-distance routes efficiently, managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensure the secure loading and unloading of cargo, maintaining its integrity throughout the journey.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs for driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery status.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Adhere to strict company policies regarding safety, security, and delivery procedures.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and relevant stakeholders regarding journey progress and potential delays.
• Ensure all transported goods arrive at their destination on time and in perfect condition.
• Represent the company professionally at all times during pick-ups and drop-offs.

Requirements

• Valid Code 14 driver's license with a valid PrDP (Professional Driving Permit).
• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a long-haul truck driver.
