Placements24 is seeking a proactive Logistics Operations Controller to manage daily logistics flow in Randburg, Gauteng. The role involves coordinating warehousing and transportation, monitoring shipments, and driving improvements to meet client needs while maintaining high service levels.

Qualifications

Our client, a leading supply chain solutions provider, is seeking a proactive and skilled Logistics Operations Controller to join their dynamic team in Randburg, Gauteng . This role is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily flow of goods, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high service levels across various logistics functions. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations, transportation management, and inventory control. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage day-to-day logistics operations, including warehousing and transportation.
• Coordinate with internal teams (warehouse, transport, customer service) and external partners (carriers, suppliers) to ensure smooth operations.
• Track shipments and proactively identify and resolve any issues or delays.
• Ensure adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
• Assist in the implementation of new logistics processes and technologies.
• Prepare and present operational reports to management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in logistics operations, supply chain management, or a related field.

• Proficiency in logistics software, including Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transport Management Systems (TMS).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

• Understanding of health and safety regulations in logistics.
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a relevant field is preferred.
