About the Role

Our client, a rapidly expanding logistics enterprise, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Operations Manager to lead their operations in George, Western Cape . The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of all warehousing, transportation, and distribution functions. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize all day-to-day logistics operations, including receiving, warehousing, order processing, and dispatch.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
• Oversee a team of logistics professionals, providing leadership, training, and performance management.
• Maintain and improve inventory accuracy and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all facilities.
• Negotiate with transportation providers to secure competitive rates and service agreements.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to achieve targets.
• Manage the logistics budget and control operational expenses effectively.
• Foster strong relationships with internal departments, suppliers, and customers.
• Implement and manage warehouse management systems (WMS) and transport management systems (TMS).
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics department.

Requirements
