Job summary

Placements24 in Gauteng seeks a diligent Logistics Coordinator and Fleet Supervisor for our operations in Tembisa. You will coordinate daily logistics activities, schedule transportation, and supervise a fleet of drivers to ensure timely deliveries from the distribution centre to customers.

You will maintain fleet records, monitor maintenance, enforce safety standards, and drive cost efficiencies through route optimization and fuel management.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or equivalent in Logistics/ Transportation.
• At least 4 years' logistics coordination or fleet supervision experience.
• Experience managing a fleet of vehicles and drivers.
• Familiarity with South African transport regulations and road safety standards.
• Strong route planning and optimization skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily outbound and inbound logistics operations; ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
• Manage and optimize delivery routes to improve efficiency and reduce transit times.
• Oversee dispatch of vehicles and track progress in real-time.
• Supervise drivers, provide guidance, and conduct performance management.
• Maintain fleet records, including maintenance schedules and driver logs.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.
