Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a logistics or supply chain coordination role.
• Strong understanding of TMS and WMS systems; proficient with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule transportation of goods via various modes (road, etc.).
• Liaise with carriers, drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to ensure smooth logistics operations.
• Track shipments and provide timely updates on delivery status to relevant stakeholders.
• Manage documentation related to shipments, including bills of lading, invoices, and customs forms where applicable.
• Resolve logistical issues and disruptions promptly to minimize delays and costs.
• Optimize routes and transportation methods for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate records of logistics activities and prepare performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant transport regulations and company policies.
• Assist in managing inventory levels and coordinating stock movements between facilities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the logistics function.

Our client, a leading third-party logistics (3PL) provider with a significant presence in Sandton, Gauteng , is seeking an organised and proactive Logistics Coordinator. This role is central to managing the flow of goods, coordinating transportation, and ensuring operational efficiency within a high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
