Job summary

Star South is seeking a detail‑oriented Logistics Coordinator to support efficient execution of customer orders within the Commodities team. You will coordinate logistics activities, manage administration and documentation, and liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth product movement.

Responsibilities include arranging transport, exporting documentation, and maintaining trackers and systems. The role requires 1–2 years in logistics or related fields and strong Excel skills for order management

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1 to 2 years’ experience in logistics administration, export coordination or supply chain operations.
• Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Excel and logistics or order management systems.
• Experience with export and cross border documentation will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and administer logistics activities to ensure the efficient execution of customer orders.
• Manage all logistics administration related to customer orders.
• Book, coordinate and follow up on transport requirements to ensure the timely collection and delivery of products.
• Coordinate and arrange the required export and border documentation.
• Maintain and update logistics systems, order trackers and related records accurately and timeously.
• Liaise with warehouses regarding stock availability, loading plans and dispatch requirements.
• Coordinate export orders with freight forwarders and other logistics service providers.
• Communicate with suppliers, customers and service providers regarding logistics arrangements and order status.
• Ensure all logistics documentation is accurate, complete and submitted within the required timeframes.
• Monitor logistics activities and proactively follow up on delays or operational issues that may affect orders.
• Provide regular logistics and order updates to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate filing and record keeping of logistics documentation.
• Support the Commodities team with logistics planning and execution to ensure customer requirements are met.
