Job description

Logistics Coordinator position currently available in Paarl.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate and issue logistics instructions and documentation from the point of loading through to final destination
• Maintain and update all transport and shipping information
• Perform stock control functions
• Liaise with relevant clients, industry stakeholders and third parties
• Monitor and report on all relevant information
• Carry out any additional tasks related to the role (both export and local)

Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role within the fresh-produce export industry
• Experience working on Vitrax and QX systems (or similar)
• Excellent computer literacy, specifically in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment and meet deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to work after hours during peak season (Dec – Mar)
• Professional proficiency in both English and Afrikaans (verbal and written)
• Additional industry experience such as DALRRD applications, Q67 and Titan will be advantageous
