Job summary

Gijima Holdings is seeking a warehouse/logistics coordinator to manage inventory, stock control processes and distribution for internal and external clients. The role involves planning material requirements, processing purchase orders, and ensuring timely warranty returns to OEMs.

You will coordinate with vendors and stakeholders while maintaining safe and compliant warehouse operations. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in logistics/stock control and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years experience in logistics/stock control/store keeping/warehouse management.

Responsibilities

• Inventory management: conduct regular stock takes; maintain records of backup and consignment stock; manage repair cycle of inventory; ensure warranty parts are returned to OEM in time.
• Material and distribution planning: plan material requirements (MRP); oversee distribution and delivery of stock to internal and external clients; route quotes for appropriate authority; track SAP open requests through to closure.
• Cost and efficiency optimisation: reduce operational expenses.
• Reporting and communication: generate general and comparative stock reports; send accurate communication including ETAs, escalations, and risk notifications.
• Relationship management: build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and all stakeholders.
• General warehouse keeping: comply with policies, processes and contractual agreements; maintain neatness and tidiness of warehouses and stores.
• Ensure backup equipment is stored, packaged and handled according to National Logistics Standard and relevant policy; ensure health and safety requirements are met and adhered to.

Grade 12 Qualification (NQF 4) in Logistics/ Stock Control/ Store Keeping / Warehouse Management (advantageous)

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 2 5 years experience in logistics /stock control/ store keeping / warehouse management

TECHNICAL / LEGAL CERTIFICATION

Drivers license with reliable transport (advantageous)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inventory Management: Conduct regular stock takes. Maintain accurate records of backup and consignment stock. Manage the repair cycle of inventory. Ensure warranty parts are returned to OEM within the required timeframe.
