Job summary

AnyVan in Cape Town is seeking an allocations specialist to keep transport jobs moving and profitable. You’ll partner with transport providers (TPs), pitch available jobs, and own the allocation process end-to-end.

You'll build strong relationships, negotiate rates, create routes, monitor schedules, and resolve issues quickly with both TPs and customers. On-site work five days a week with a fast-paced, dynamic logistics team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a commercial contact center or transport broker role.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to produce reports.
• Willingness to work onsite 5 days a week in Cape Town.
• Knowledge of UK/EU market is a bonus.
• Excellent communication and negotiation with partners.

Responsibilities

• Allocate jobs to transport providers (TPs) by proactively contacting them (mostly by phone).
• Own the allocation process, manage pipelines and assign jobs to TPs to keep them engaged and motivated.
• Build relationships with TPs, know their availability, vehicles, locations, and rates.
• Negotiate competitive rates that work for AnyVan, customers, and TPs.
• Create routes and schedules for multi-job loads and monitor them to schedule.
• Resolve issues quickly with TPs and customers, re-allocate in case of cancellations or failures.
• Handle admin tasks like proof of delivery and customer communication.
• Hit targets on service quality and efficiency.
