Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking an LLM Engineer to own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems built on AI models, not model training. You will implement agent workflows and API integrations to streamline workflows across the company.

You will work remotely with a US-based team, leveraging LangChain/LangGraph and related frameworks to deliver robust automation and tooling that reduces manual effort across design and development workflows.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As LLM Engineer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them.

What You Will Build

• Agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Integrations with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs including tool use and function calling.
• Internal tools that reduce manual hours across our design and development production process.
• Automation pipelines connecting WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and our internal CMS.
• MCP server integrations as part of our broader AI stack.
