Blacksmith Agency is hiring a LLM Engineer to own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems atop AI models, not model training.

You will implement agent workflows, integrate OpenAI/Anthropic APIs, and build tools to reduce manual work across design and development. This remote role supports Latin America and South Africa with a US-based team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Responsabilités

• Build and ship internal automation components for the AI stack.
• Develop agent-based workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or similar frameworks.
• Integrate with Anthropic and OpenAI APIs including tool use and function calling.
• Create production-ready integrations to connect WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and internal CMS.
• Assist MCP server integrations as part of the AI stack.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As LLM Engineer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them.
