Job summary

Blacksmith Agency LLC is seeking an LLM Engineer to own and ship our internal automation roadmap. You will build production systems on top of LLMs, not train them, and work with engineering leadership to turn a documented automation roadmap into shipped workflows.

You will collaborate with teams to implement agentic workflows, API integrations, and automation pipelines across WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace, and internal CMS.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

Responsibilities

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As LLM Engineer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them. You work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to take a documented roadmap of automation workflows and turn them into shipped, working systems. This role is for someone who has already built things with LLMs and can show it.
