Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking an experienced LLM Engineer to own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This builder role focuses on production systems on top of LLMs, not model training, and you will collaborate with engineering and delivery leadership to turn a documented roadmap into shipped workflows.

You will work with LangChain, LangGraph or equivalent frameworks, integrate with OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, and build automation that reduces manual work across our design and development

Qualifications

• 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar agent frameworks.
• Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
• English sufficient for async written work with a US-based team.

About The Role

Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer into every part of how we work. As LLM Engineer at Blacksmith, you own and ship our internal automation roadmap. This is a builder role, not a research role. You will not be training models, you will be building production systems on top of them. You work directly with engineering and delivery leadership to take a documented roadmap of automation workflows and turn them into shipped, working systems. This role is for someone who has already built things with LLMs and can show it.
