Job summary

Hire Resolve is seeking a Residence & Building Manager to oversee day-to-day management, student experience, wellbeing, and overall operations of a student residence in Pretoria. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, welcoming environment and coordinating student life and community initiatives.

Qualifications

• Social Work qualification or relevant experience.
• Education qualification or relevant experience.
• NPO / Non-Profit Organisation qualification or relevant experience.
• Student or Youth Empowerment qualification or relevant experience.
• Experience with students, youth, communities, or a residential environment.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing programmes, events, teams, or community initiatives.
• Ability to handle sensitive situations and crisis management.
• Must be comfortable with a live-in role and after-hours responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management and operations of the residence.
• Support student well-being and provide student assistance.
• Coordinate student life programmes and activities.
• Manage budgets for student programmes.
• Handle enquiries from students and guardians.
• Manage crisis situations and after-hours support.
• Work with staff to ensure a customer-focused residence.
