JVR Software is seeking a Duty Manager for a lodge in KwaZulu-Natal. The role supports the Lodge Manager and Assistant Lodge Manager, gaining exposure to the daily running of the lodge and guest services.

The ideal candidate is energetic, hands-on, resilient and a strong team player who can lead staff, handle pressure and maintain professional guest experiences in a close-knit team. Live-in position with meals provided and Provident Fund; suitable for someone eager to learn and grow in lodge

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year's previous experience in a similar Duty Manager, Assistant Lodge Manager, Supervisor or hospitality management role.
• Previous lodge or safari lodge experience will be advantageous.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good computer literacy and basic administration skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Ability to handle pressure and remain calm in challenging situations.
• Strong guest service skills.
• Ability to confidently and respectfully manage staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff and oversee daily lodge operations under guidance.
• Maintain guest service excellence and handle guest inquiries.
• Work independently, take initiative, and make decisions under pressure.
• Collaborate with Lodge Manager and Assistant Lodge Manager to run the lodge.
