Centurion Law Firm in Centurion, Gauteng seeks an experienced Paralegal with a litigation focus. You will manage case files, conduct research, draft legal documents, and support the litigation team throughout proceedings.

The ideal candidate has a National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or Law, 3+ years of litigation experience, and strong research, drafting, and organizational skills. On-site role with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Law, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal with a focus on litigation.
• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Familiarity with court procedures and civil procedure rules.
• Strong understanding of discovery processes.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Based in Centurion or able to commute daily to Centurion, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and closings.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research using various databases and resources.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses under attorney supervision.
• Manage case files, ensuring documents are organized and up-to-date.
• Communicate with clients, witnesses, court personnel and opposing counsel.
• Organize and summarize case-related information, testimony and documents.
• Assist with discovery processes, including document review and production.
• Prepare exhibits and other trial materials.
• Maintain accurate records of billable hours for assigned cases.
• Provide general support to the litigation team as needed.
