Job summary

Atlas Copco Group seeks a lighting applications engineer to drive site illumination solutions for construction, mining, rental fleets and safety-critical environments. You will assess requirements, size and position solutions, and support dealers and customers across Southern Africa with energy and lighting options.

You will contribute to regional growth, translate product capabilities into customer value, and present commercial proposals while traveling to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven background in lighting application engineering or related technical roles.
• Ability to assess customer requirements and recommend fit-for-purpose lighting.
• Experience with industries like construction, mining, rental, events, utilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as the subject matter expert for lighting tower applications and site illumination requirements.
• Assess customer/site requirements and recommend sizing, positioning, and optimization.
• Support dealers and customers across Southern Africa with lighting and related energy solutions.
• Contribute to regional Light and Power strategy and market share growth.
• Build relationships with customers and promote reliable, sustainable lighting solutions.
• Translate product capabilities into customer value and commercial propositions.
• Prepare, present, and negotiate commercial proposals and contracts.
• Collaborate with teams to meet divisional objectives and plans.
• Stay informed on diesel, hybrid, and sustainable energy technologies.
• Travel regularly to cover local and regional territories for support and development.
