Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a friendly Leisure Centre Attendant to support daily operations at their Upington facility. You will be the first point of contact for guests, assist with inquiries, monitor centre activity, and help maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the venue.

The ideal candidate will have strong customer service experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team. This role offers an engaging environment in the leisure and sports sector.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service or front-desk role is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of facility operations and cleaning standards.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• A genuine interest in the Leisure & Sports industry is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist visitors and members, providing information about facilities and services.
• Monitor activity in various centre areas, ensuring adherence to rules and safety protocols.
• Perform light cleaning duties to maintain the tidiness and hygiene of the centre.
• Assist with the setup and takedown of equipment for activities and events.
• Respond to basic member inquiries and upscale complex issues to management.
• Report any maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly.
