Job summary

SERR Synergy is seeking an experienced Legal Advisor in Bloemfontein to join our Labour team. The role involves providing advice on labour legislation, both remotely and on-site, and supporting administrative functions in a busy legal environment.

Ideal candidates will have a relevant legal qualification, 3–5 years of Labour Law experience, and strong bilingual communication in Afrikaans and English. The position emphasizes integrity, confidentiality, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level law degree with Labour Law focus.
• Admittance to practice will be advantageous.
• 3–5 years of experience in Law and Labour Law preferred.
• Fluency in Afrikaans and English is required.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Self-reliant, accountable and maintains confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to clients on labour legislation, remotely or on-site.
• Handle administrative support and manage our Labour "Help-line".
• Draft charge sheets, employment contracts, policies and procedures.
• Research, review and benchmark contracts, policies and relevant legislation.
• Assist with unions and negotiations.
• Chair disciplinary hearings.
