Job summary

SERR Synergy in Bloemfontein seeks a seasoned Legal Advisor specializing in Labour Law to join our dynamic Labour team and contribute to our busy workplace.

You will provide labour legislation advice, draft contracts and policies, support unions and negotiations, chair disciplinary hearings, and handle on-site and remote client matters, with a strong emphasis on integrity, confidentiality, and timely service.

Qualifications

• LLB or equivalent legal qualification.
• Admittance to practice is advantageous.
• 3–5 years of experience in law and Labour Law.
• Fluency in English and Afrikaans is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Must have own reliable transport.
• Provide Labour Law advice to clients remotely and on-site.
• Draft charge sheets, employment contracts, policies and procedures; research and benchmark legislation.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice to clients on labour legislation, both remotely and on-site.
• Handle administrative assistance and attend to the Labour Help-line.
• Draft contracts, policies and procedures within a legal environment.
• Research, review and benchmark contracts, policies and legislation.
• Assist with unions and negotiations.
