Job summary

LabourNet in Pretoria is seeking a Labour Law Consultant to manage client relations focusing on various industrial relations issues. This position includes duties like chairing disciplinary inquiries and assisting with compliance matters.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year’s experience in Industrial Relations.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle is essential.

Responsibilities

• Retain and service all clients regarding IR issues.
• Chair disciplinary inquiries and draft judgments for clients.
• Assist with issuing warnings for compliance and drafting policies.
• Manage complex issues such as strikes.

We currently have an exciting position available for a Labour Law Consultant to be based at our branch in Pretoria.

You are responsible for, inclusive of, but not limited to:

• Retaining all clients as well as servicing clients in terms of all IR issues.
• All clients are contacted as per schedule

Typical Labour Law issues can range from:

• Chairing of disciplinary inquiries
• Drafting of judgments for clients
• Assist with the issuing of warnings to ensure compliance
• Drafting and implementing of policies

More complex issues include:

• Strike Management

Package & Remuneration:

Salary: R17 850 CTC

Qualifications

You’re required to have a customer‑first mindset and the following skills to succeed in this role:

• 3 years B. Degree or equivalent in HR/IR/LLB or related field
• More than 1 year’s experience in Industrial Relations
• Eagerness to learn the ins and outs of labour law
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Must be able to effectively function within a pressurised and fast paced environment
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle is essential
