Job summary

STADIO Higher Education is seeking an experienced lecturer to deliver engaging lectures and assess students across accredited programmes. You will independently use the LMS to design, develop, and deliver modules, while contributing to curriculum development to reflect current educational trends.

The role also involves internal moderation, invigilation, academic guidance for students, and participation in quality assurance and research initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering engaging lectures and providing timely feedback
• Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and online module delivery
• Curriculum development experience and ability to update programmes
• Ability to participate in internal moderation and quality assurance processes

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures and assess students according to programme/module requirements
• Independently utilise the LMS and collaborate to design, develop, and deliver modules
• Participate in curriculum development to reflect current educational trends
• Undertake internal moderation to ensure assessment validity and reliability
• Conduct venue-based assessment invigilation as required by the registrar's office
• Provide academic guidance and support to students and address queries promptly
• Complete quality assurance requirements for modules and programmes to meet standards
• Engage in research and community projects to foster continuous learning
• Maintain open, effective communication with students, colleagues and management
• Ensure adherence to policies and SOPs while maintaining administrative efficiency
• Participate in meetings and committees as requested by management
• Fulfil other administrative duties as directed by line management

Key roles and responsibilities

• Lecturing and assessment: Deliver engaging lectures and assess students in accordance with the accredited programmes and module requirements. Provide timely feedback on assignments, exams, and other assessments to facilitate student learning and growth.
• Learning management system (LMS): Independently utilise the learning management system and collaborate with colleagues to design, develop, and deliver modules effectively.
• Curriculum development: Participate in the ongoing development of programmes and curriculum, incorporating current educational trends and best practices.
• Internal moderation: Undertake assigned internal moderation responsibilities to ensure assessment validity and reliability.
• Assessment invigilation: Conduct venue-based assessment invigilation as required by the registrar's office.
• Academic support: Provide academic guidance and support to students, addressing their concerns and queries promptly.
• Quality assurance: Complete all quality assurance requirements related to modules and programmes to ensure compliance with academic standards.
• Research and community engagement: Engage in research activities and contribute to community projects, fostering a culture of continuous learning and positive societal impact.
• Effective communication: Maintain open and effective communication with students, colleagues, line managers, and management members.
• Administrative efficiency: Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) while maintaining administrative efficiency.
• Participation and collaboration: Participate in meetings, workshops, and relevant committees as requested by management.
• Administrative functions: Fulfil administrative duties related to the position as directed by the relevant line manager.
