Job summary

STADIO (Pty) Ltd invites applications for the position of Lecturer Management Accounting (Fixed Term for 2 years). The role focuses on undergraduate teaching of accounting and management accounting, with emphasis on integrating digital tools and using an LMS to enhance learning.

Responsibilities include lecturing, marking, moderation, academic administration, student support, and participation in research activities. A relevant honours degree and CIMA designation are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum honours degree in accounting or related field.
• Evidence of, or potential for, research and scholarly activity.
• Experience in assessment, moderation and academic administration.
• Good knowledge of an LMS such as Canvas as an online teaching tool.

Key roles and responsibilities

• Lecture accounting and management accounting modules at undergraduate level
• Integrate relevant digital tools into teaching and learning
• Use the learning management system (LMS)
• Mark and moderate assessments and examinations
• Perform academic administration and other delegated duties
• Provide academic support to students
• Participate in research and scholarly activities

Minimum requirement

• A minimum of two years' lecturing experience in higher education
• Sound knowledge of accounting theory and practice
• Experience in assessment, moderation and academic administration
• Good knowledge of an LMS, such as Canvas, as an online teaching and learning tool
• Evidence of, or potential for, research and scholarly activity

Qualification

• A minimum of an honours degree in accounting or a closely related field at NQF level 8
• A relevant professional designation or membership with CIBA, SAIPA, SAICA, ACCA or CIMA
• A CIMA designation or membership is preferred
