Job summary

Rosebank College, part of The Independent Institute of Education, seeks an academic lecturer to teach IT-related modules and engage students across programmes. You will manage resources, update the LMS, and develop assessments aligned with curriculum briefs to support learning outcomes.

The role requires master-level qualifications in IT or related fields, teaching experience in higher education, and the ability to adapt teaching to a changing environment while meeting regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Information Technology or closely related field.
• Master’s degree in a cognate business field with IT content or research in digital transformation/IT governance.
• Lecturing/tutoring experience in IT governance, digital transformation, information systems management or related areas.
• Work experience with governance, risk, compliance or service-management frameworks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and engage students based on module requirements.
• Manage resources and consult with the Information Centre.
• Update learning management system and provide feedback to students.
• Prepare students for assessments and develop assessments per briefs.
• Monitor student engagement and assessment submissions; escalate issues as needed.
• Participate in academic meetings across faculties.
• Analyze student results to identify at-risk modules.
• Complete academic professional development interventions each cycle.
