Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer for its operations in Mahikeng to drive productivity enhancements. You will analyze current processes, design improvements, and implement lean systems to reduce waste and increase profitability.

The role requires a 3+ year track record in industrial engineering, strong lean expertise, and proficiency with Minitab and Excel. Teamwork and clear communication are essential for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
At least 3 years in an industrial engineering capacity focusing on productivity.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools.
Proficiency in process analysis, data interpretation and software (Minitab, Excel).
Excellent problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Analyze production lines to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for productivity improvement.
Develop and implement lean techniques such as JIT, Kanban, and continuous flow.
Design efficient layouts and material flow paths to minimize non-value-added activities.
Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work and optimize resource allocation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and training.
Track and report KPIs related to productivity, efficiency and cost savings.
