Placements24 in Centurion, Gauteng seeks an Industrial Engineer to optimize production processes and drive lean improvements. You will work with production teams, management and other engineers to analyze systems, identify enhancements and implement data-driven solutions for cost savings and quality gains.

The role focuses on plant layouts, workflow efficiency, standard work, and collaboration across functions to ensure scalable manufacturing and safety compliance at the Centurion facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years hands-on industrial engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Solid lean manufacturing knowledge and tools.
• CAD/layout design and simulation experience advantageous.
• Data-driven approach with strong Excel skills.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality basics.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production methods and workflows to identify inefficiencies.
• Develop and implement lean improvements (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
• Design and optimize plant layouts and material flow for safety and productivity.
• Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work times.
• Create and maintain production documentation and SOPs.
• Collaborate with QA to reduce defects and implement controls.
• Assist in selecting and implementing new equipment/technologies.
• Track KPIs related to efficiency, throughput, and cost.
• Support successful new product introductions with scalable processes.
• Participate in cross-functional problem-solving teams.
• Ensure safety regulations are followed in Centurion, Gauteng.
