Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years hands-on industrial engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Solid lean manufacturing knowledge and tools.
• CAD/layout design and simulation experience advantageous.
• Data-driven approach with strong Excel skills.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality basics.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client, a prominent player in the automotive supply chain, is looking for a dedicated Industrial Engineer to join their team in Centurion, Gauteng . This role focuses on optimizing production processes, enhancing manufacturing efficiency, and implementing lean methodologies to drive cost savings and quality improvements. You will work closely with production teams, management, and other engineering disciplines to analyze existing systems, identify areas for enhancement, and develop practical, data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering principles and a passion for continuous improvement, contributing significantly to the operational success of our client's facility in Centurion, Gauteng .

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze current production methods and workflows to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.
• Develop and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Design and optimize plant layouts and material flow to enhance productivity and safety.
• Conduct time and motion studies to establish standard work times and improve labor efficiency.
• Develop and maintain production documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement quality control measures and reduce defects.
• Assist in the selection and implementation of new manufacturing equipment and technologies.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, throughput, and cost.

Requirements
