Placements24 in George, Western Cape, is seeking an experienced Automotive Production Line Supervisor to lead daily operations on our client's production lines. You will supervise operators, ensure schedules, maintain safety standards, and drive continuous improvement using lean methods.

The ideal candidate has automotive manufacturing experience, strong leadership and a track record with 5S/Kaizen, data-driven decision making, and a commitment to quality and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Production Supervisor in automotive manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and quality control.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Proficiency in reading production schedules and technical specifications.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
• Experience with production reporting and data analysis is a plus.
• Relevant manufacturing/engineering qualification advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production line operators to ensure efficiency.
• Monitor processes to maintain quality, specifications, and targets.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Train and mentor new and existing employees on procedures and standards.
• Manage workforce scheduling, absenteeism and performance.
• Implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions.
• Maintain production records and report on KPIs (output, quality, efficiency).
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance and logistics for smooth operations.
