Job summary

Time Personnel in Milnerton, Cape Town seeks an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead a high-performing team and oversee receiving, inventory control, and dispatch. You will manage day-to-day operations, optimise layouts, coordinate deliveries, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include Grade 12, a related qualification, 5+ years as a Warehouse Manager and 3+ years managing a team.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Warehouse Manager.
• Minimum 3 years managing a warehouse team.
• Proven experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving and dispatch.
• Background in electrical work and lighting products is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, planning and organisational skills.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems.
• Computer literacy (MS Excel, Outlook and Microsoft Office).
• Valid South African driver’s licence and own reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storage and dispatch.
• Supervise, lead and motivate warehouse staff and ensure productivity.
• Oversee inventory control, cycle counts and stock takes to minimise discrepancies.
• Ensure accurate processing, documentation and checking of goods.
• Coordinate deliveries and dispatch schedules to meet orders on time.
• Monitor health and safety and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Maintain records and generate reports on stock movements and performance.
• Investigate stock variances, damaged goods and operational issues.
• Liaise with suppliers and transport providers to ensure smooth operations.
• Optimise layout and storage systems to maximise space and efficiency.
• Ensure equipment maintenance and service as required.
• Train and onboard new staff, providing ongoing coaching.
• Implement processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
