Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a proactive Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead end-to-end solar and wind projects in George, Western Cape. You will drive planning, development, construction and commissioning to deliver on time, within budget and to high quality standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management, 5+ years in project management for renewables, and strong leadership and communication skills. PMP certification is a plus in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management with renewable energy focus.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and communication skills.
• Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, market dynamics and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of renewable energy projects from site selection to commissioning.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, contractors and regulators.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage stakeholder relationships including community engagement and investor reporting.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards and project specs.
