Placements24 is seeking a proactive Lead Quantity Surveyor in George, Western Cape to manage costs from feasibility to final accounts on major infrastructure projects. You will lead tendering, contract administration, and financial controls, working with project managers, engineers and architects.

The role requires 7+ years of post-graduate experience in infrastructure or large-scale construction, and proficiency with JBCC/FIDIC cost estimation methods. A hybrid work model is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline required.
• Strong analytical, numerical and negotiation abilities.
• Experience with contract management and procurement processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and feasibility studies for construction projects.
• Manage tendering and subcontracting processes, including bid evaluation and contract terms negotiation.
• Administer construction contracts ensuring financial compliance.
• Monitor and control project costs through the lifecycle; identify financial risks.
• Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow projections and final accounts.
• Valuate variations and claims; negotiate with contractors.
• Advise clients on procurement strategies and contract options.
• Ensure financial activities comply with company policies and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with site teams to verify measured work.
