Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale digital transformation projects from concept to completion.
• Define scope, goals and deliverables with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop detailed project plans with timelines, resources and budgets.
• Implement and refine agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) for delivery.
• Oversee cross-functional teams—developers, designers, QA, and business analysts.
• Manage risks, issues and dependencies; mitigate blockers.
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and ensure alignment.
• Drive continuous improvement and mentor junior project managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale digital transformation projects, from conception to completion.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
• Implement and refine agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Oversee cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, QA analysts, and business analysts, ensuring seamless collaboration.
• Manage risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively identifying and resolving impediments.
• Facilitate communication and provide regular status updates to all stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
• Drive continuous improvement in project processes and methodologies.
• Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 5 years focused on digital transformation or complex software development projects.
• Proven experience leading remote teams and managing projects in a distributed work environment.
• Expertise in Agile project management frameworks (Scrum Master certification is a significant advantage).
• Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various technology stacks.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, or similar.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships effectively.
• Must be based in South Africa and comfortable working in a fully remote capacity.
