Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Project Engineer (Facilities) based in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga to oversee design, construction, and commissioning of upstream and midstream oil and gas facilities. You will manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with top safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong project management, facility engineering expertise, and coordination with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with oil & gas facility projects and design.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of oil and gas facility projects from feasibility to handover.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, and execution plans.
• Oversee design, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of facilities.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Coordinate with engineering disciplines, contractors, vendors, and regulators.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Manage changes and ensure effective communication among stakeholders.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve issues.
• Champion health, safety, and environmental performance throughout all phases.
