Job summary

Scatec ASA in Cape Town, South Africa, is seeking a Lead Project Planner to own the development and management of integrated master project programmes across renewable energy projects. You will consolidate work breakdowns, contractor schedules, resources, milestones, and reporting to provide a reliable delivery view.

In this role, you will lead planning across opportunities, development, and delivery, aligning with contractual requirements and company templates.

Qualifications

Formal technical qualification in Construction, Engineering, Project Management, or a closely related discipline.
8+ years of project planning experience on EPC-type projects.
Advanced Primavera P6 capability and proficiency in MS Project and MS Office.
Experience developing and controlling integrated master schedules, baselines, S-curves, and histograms.
Strong capability in critical-path analysis, schedule-risk evaluation, forecasting, and contractor schedule reviews.

Responsibilities

Lead project planning and schedule control across opportunities, development, and delivery.
Develop project programmes for opportunities and define milestones for PPAs.
Prepare and maintain the integrated master programme for delivery.
Establish schedule baselines, apply cost weightings, generate S-curves, and produce progress reports.
Integrate contractor schedules into the master programme and evaluate resources and interfaces.
Review contractor baseline programmes and related memoranda.
Analyze milestones, critical paths, and schedule risks for PPA time analysis.
Coordinate site planners and provide schedule updates to governance teams.
