About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Mechanical Engineer to spearhead complex projects and manage project lifecycles in Rustenburg . This pivotal role requires a blend of strong technical expertise, exceptional project management skills, and leadership capabilities to guide engineering teams towards successful project completion. You will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical engineering aspects of projects, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design, procurement, installation, and commissioning. The successful candidate will drive technical excellence, ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget, and foster a collaborative environment within the engineering department, making a significant impact in the North West region's industrial sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all mechanical engineering activities for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and client requirements.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements for mechanical aspects.
• Oversee the design, analysis, and specification of mechanical systems, equipment, and components.
• Manage and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, providing technical direction and performance feedback.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, construction, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for mechanical project elements.

Requirements
