Zutari seeks a Lead Mechanical Engineer/Technologist for Building Services in Durban. You will manage full mechanical design across building projects and lead a team of digital designers, engineers, technicians and modellers to produce construction information.

You must have a BSc/BEng/BTech in Mechanical Engineering with ECSA registration and at least seven years’ experience in the built environment, especially HVAC and chilled-water design.

Formación

• BSc/BEng/BTech in Mechanical Engineering
• Registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) or equivalent
• Minimum 7 years of experience in the mechanical environment within the built environment, preferably in an infrastructure engineering consultancy
• Strong background in HVAC design
• Strong background in chilled water system design
• Understanding of local and international codes & standards
• Willingness to learn and investigate technological systems
• Interest in working on innovative and complex projects

Responsabilidades

• Manage full design aspects for Mechanical Services across a range of building services projects
• Manage a team of digital designers, engineers, technicians, and modellers with delivering projects
• Analyze project requirements and develop conceptual designs through to construction information
• Coordinate the design and construction of building services forming part of varied projects (data centres, education, hospitals, commercial buildings)
• Manage and coordinate interdisciplinary interfaces
• Quality check team deliverables including modelling works and data/parameter management by global teams
• Maintain project records per internal quality system
• Drive use of new technologies and maintain accountability for resourcing, timeliness, quality, risk and client communication
