About the Role

A leading financial services provider based in George , Western Cape, is seeking an accomplished Lead Management Accountant to spearhead its financial planning and analysis functions. This critical role involves driving strategic decision-making through robust financial insights and performance management. The successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting, playing a key part in the financial strategy and operational efficiency of the company in the scenic George region. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Prepare comprehensive management reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Provide strategic financial guidance and support to various business units.
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
• Oversee cost accounting, profitability analysis, and pricing strategies.
• Develop and implement financial models to support business planning and decision-making.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
• Drive process improvements and automation within the management accounting function.
• Mentor and develop a team of management accountants and analysts.
• Present financial findings and recommendations to executive leadership.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting designation (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA, ACCA) is essential.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in management accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and business analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
• Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
• Strong understanding of business operations and commercial drivers.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
